The fact is, painters range in the quality of services they provide, and there are many inexperienced, unlicensed and unqualified people and companies that masquerade as professional painters. Many homeowners are so focused on “how much” that they never even consider anything else. This can lead them to hire the wrong company…  

Questions you should have before hiring a painting contractor, Answered from the Wet Paint President, Jesus Chavez. 

1.Are you licensed?  

  • Yes! We have all appropriate licenses, Each Crew Leader is EPA Certified. All employees receive Lead Safe Training.

2. How long is your Warranty, what does it cover and how is it funded?  

  • We offer 5 year warranty, additional information will be provided upon scheduling.  

3. How quickly can an estimator get to my home?  

  • Wet Paint structured the company into specific roles, we make sure we have someone available for when you need us. Therefore the estimate date will be set by yourself, that is one of the major benefits about working with our company  

4. How will my project be managed?  

  • Once your project is scheduled, you will be in constant communication with the assigned Supervisor, who will keep you informed and answer any questions you may have. Once the job is completed you will receive a courtesy follow up from our Marketing Director to ensure the work provided met your expectations.

5. Do you have a written safety program or safety training for your employees?  

  • Yes! Before on boarding they complete a Safety accident prevention training

6. What type of paint do you use and why?  

  • We provide top of the line paints, and do not cut edges. Every customer will be educated on the paint that is best for their specific home  

7. What is the typical longevity of a new paint job?  

  • Due to our state climate paint will usually remains good for 7-10 years.

8. What if I don’t like the color selected? Can I change it?  

  • Yes, we want you to be pleased with the outcome of your home so we always happy to come back and change the color, however additional fees may apply.  

9. How long will the job take?  

  • Time frame is dependent on the project, you will need to call Wet Paint to discuss the scope of work. However, a typical bedroom would take about a day to paint the walls, including ceiling and trim. You should plan on not having access to the bedroom for at least one night. 

10. How do I prepare my rooms for your visit?  

  • All houses can differ on preparation, after your estimate is approved you will receive specific instruction on your to prepare for our professional crews.  

11. My room is wallpapered now. How will you handle that?  

  • We will remove wallpaper prior to painting. Before we remove the paper, we will test an area to see how the paper was applied. If the wallpaper was not applied properly, it may lead to damage to the walls when the paper is removed. Your crew leader will discuss your other options if this is the case.

12. Can you fix water damage or holes in my walls, and if so, how long will it take?  

  • We will fill old holes, fix water damage and make any other repairs as needed, as part of our preparation. The time it takes to repair is in proportion to the amount of damage.  

13. What are some major benefits of working with you?

  • Yes. Our professional Painters all go through ethical training, we also have supervisors on sight  

16. Can you provide references?
